It’s spooky season, babes — and you know I had to bring that energy into Her Studio.
This Halloween boudoir session might just be one of my all-time favorites. My model, the insanely talented Shelby from SJ Makeup Artistry, absolutely killed it (pun totally intended). We went all in — playing with fog, colorful lights, dark wings, and even a little fake blood for those unapologetically vampy vibes. It was the perfect mix of spooky and sultry, and I couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera.
From the very start, I knew I wanted this shoot to feel like pure creative freedom — a chance to experiment, have fun, and lean all the way into the Halloween aesthetic. Her Studio, with its real brick walls, moody lighting, and rich jewel tones, couldn’t have been a better setting. The dark, atmospheric backdrop gave every image a cinematic feel that made the whole session feel like a gothic dream come to life.
Shelby was the ultimate creative partner. Not only did she model, but as the artist behind SJ Makeup Artistry, she created the most stunning looks for the day — think glowing skin, smoky eyes, and the perfect deep, vampy lip. The combination of her artistry and confidence gave the entire session this hauntingly beautiful energy that I am still obsessed with.
And yes — consider this your blood warning! We played with fake blood and even broke out a Scream mask for some tongue-in-cheek fun. It was messy, hilarious, and honestly iconic. We laughed through the chaos, and the results were absolute Halloween gold — bold, moody, and perfectly twisted.
That’s what I love most about themed boudoir sessions like this one. They remind me that boudoir doesn’t have to fit into one box. It’s not always soft and romantic — sometimes it’s dark, dramatic, and just a little wicked. Every session is an opportunity to celebrate confidence, creativity, and self-expression in a totally unique way.
