There’s something absolutely electric about a boudoir session at Her Studio by Mindy King — where every image captures more than beauty. It captures you.

This recent Seattle boudoir session was everything I love about what I do — confidence, laughter, bold energy, and the kind of self-love that radiates through every frame. From the moment she stepped into the studio, we created a space that was equal parts empowering and fun.

At Her Studio, located in the heart of Port Orchard (just an hour outside Seattle), every session is designed to help you feel comfortable, confident, and completely seen. My studio features real brick walls, moody lighting, and luxury touches that make every photo feel cinematic and intentional.

We started with professional makeup — because feeling your best always starts with a little pampering. Then we built her look from the client closet, where I have a massive collection of lingerie pieces in all styles, sizes, and levels of spiciness (so no stress if you don’t have anything at home — I’ve got you!).

Throughout the shoot, I guided every pose and expression so she never had to worry about “what to do.” Whether lying on the bed, leaning against the brick wall, or laughing mid-shot, she got to just be herself — and the result? Pure magic.

After the session, we did her same-day image reveal, one of my favorite parts of the experience. Seeing the transformation from nerves to pride — that moment when she realized how stunning she looked — that’s the magic of boudoir.
